"My daughters have often asked me that. Well, to be honest, I have three children and I've always been fully involved in our business. For me as a woman, that was something very special. Of course, not everything was always perfect, for all of us. But we always managed to reconcile everything and all got through it just fine together. That's why I don't know what I would do differently. I don't think anything."

"In the restaurant, for example, there is a beautiful figure of St. Urban, the patron saint of winegrowers. I brought it with me from my parents at the time. But in principle, everything that is here in the hotel is from me and my husband. We thought about every piece: Do we want that? And how do we want it? So this hotel, that's us, my husband and me. The whole hotel is our footprint. In the meantime, of course, the style of our daughters is also part of it. Oliver sometimes says that everything here is so colorful. And then I say, 'Yes, that's me. I like it colorful.' You can see that in my clothes, by the way (laughs)."

"I read a mixed bag. The other day I read "Über Menschen" by Juli Zeh, which I think is very good. Sometimes I need a crime novel in between to read something different. But fantasy or something like that is not for me now."

"When work is not done properly. That can totally drive me up the wall. For example: We know that a guest is lactose intolerant and there are notices everywhere and everyone in the service department actually knows it. And then they still don't think about it. That happens quite rarely, but I can't understand it at all."

"I think I'm a little too impatient sometimes. Over the years, I've learned that sometimes you have to pull yourself together. I used to get nervous quickly. For example, with things like thinking about things that had been agreed on for a long time during service. You have to control yourself. After all, it's also about good employee management. At such times, you should express your dissatisfaction in a decent way. I've learned to say 'Ohm' in between, to clench my fist in my pocket and to hold back."

"That we can go boating for as long as possible. That is our most beautiful hobby next to our grandchildren. I also hope that we can still make some trips. Those are the things I look forward to the most. After all, there are colleagues who work, work, work. And we are fortunate to be able to hand off the work to our children. I also still need the guests, so I'm still at the hotel a lot. Sitting around at home all the time cleaning or cooking is not for me. I need something to do, so I'm glad we have that."

"We once had a trainee whose parents celebrated her baptism with us at Immenhof, then years later her communion, and at some point she started her hotel management training with us. Unfortunately, we have lost track of her in the meantime. I have to think about her from time to time. We really accompanied the girl for quite a while. It's just like with our many regular guests. They have seen our children grow up, they have seen all the changes in the hotel and so on. You're really happy when they're here. In the Corona days, we received a lot of nice e-mails from our regular guests. Or they simply called and asked how we were doing. That did us a lot of good at the time. There are just a lot of people who think of us and who we think of."
